We managed to double our last send
Once again we have succeeded with our partners in the United States in setting up exceptional humanitarian aid for all these women and children of Father Gaston Faratsely (successor of Father Alexandre) and the disabled of Father Emeric in Madagascar.
Halph MILLION MEALS NOW ON THE GO!
More than halph million meals made up of vitamin-rich rice and soybeans were loaded on October 5th 2022 at the port of Los Angeles (USA) to Madagascar.
A considerable shipment which is only due to the association of several humanitarian groups, such as the American Protestant organization Orphan Grain Train, Inc., FMSC Food, Madagascar Association, Madagascar Foundation and Adam de Villiers Foundation.
Father Emeric will take care of the distribution between his association, which helps 4,000 people with disabilities, and that of Father Gaston Faratsely and the sisters of charity who take care of 75,000 people in the extreme south of Madagascar suffering from illness and bad nutrition.
Little Norfolk Nebraska is the Hub
Orphan Grain Train’s National Office is the hub around which all Orphan Grain Train activity revolves. While the other 28 branch and collection center locations around the country are all volunteer workers, the national office employs 19 dedicated workers. These employees accomplish the task of arranging for international and domestic transportation of relief supplies for all of our locations. Daily they work with customs officials, keep track of inventory, bookkeeping records, update promotional material and all other tasks needed to support the work of the satellite locations.
